The bad news of the year was the sudden death of super star Akmal on
June 11, 1967. He
was the most popular Punjabi film hero in the mid 60s.
Bashir Ahmad from East Pakistan created an amazing record when he sung eight songs in Rehman's Urdu film Darshan. He was also lyricist and music composer of these songs, which is an unique record in Pakistan's film history.
