I have been checking your website for a couple of weeks about Pakistani films. It's a great effort. You look really sincere for Pak Films. We all friends appreciate your efforts to introduce Pakistani Films at Internet. This should be done through our Govt. but our Govt. is not sincere with our Film Industry otherwise our films may compete Indian films as well.
Anyways there are some big mistakes about Pak Films, and we want to let you know about those mistakes so that genuine information may reach to the people. I think all information is taken through Karachi Film Market and Karachi filmy Media. And we want to send you record all over the Pakistan.
Please make sure that the information collected from Karachi media or some Fan Clubs is not exact and correct. Karachi's Filmy newspapers like Nigar and Noorjahan always ignored Mohammad Ali, Waheed Murad, Yousaf Khan, Sultan Rahi, Shahid, Badar Munir, Javed Shekh and Munawar Zarif. Especially you can check that Nigar Award is always for Nadeem. Nadeem is big name of our films but can you believe that above said film stars are less than any Pakistani or Indian film stars? It's the great honour for MQM who stopped the Nigar Jury for their un-justice behavior. After that Nigar announces Nadeem as ABOVE the all awards. Nigar always support to Nadeem and created some artificial awards and records for Nadeem. If you visit of Fan Clubs in Karachi, all clubs will tell you that Aina had not completed 400 weeks in Karachi. Awaz, Hong Kong ke sholey, Kaley chor, Majhoo, Sakhi Badshah and like more films are Diamond Jubilee films but Nigar written these are Platinum jubilee films because these are without Nadeem. I will provide you complete detail for these films with their combined weeks and main theatres in future emails.
Yaseen Goreja, Ilyas Rashidi, Khaled Chawla and Mushtaq guzder do not know what is going on in Lahore and all over the Pakistan. They knowingly ignore Punjabi and Pashto films. You cannot ask any films Diamond/Platinum Jubilee less than 10 films because most of Cinema's names in Filmy Adds are artificial. If you check you will not find these cinemas in Pakistan. Maula Jatt (1979): This great film completed continuously 130 weeks at Shabistan Cenema Lahore and combined 310 weeks in its first run. If it was not banned it may run more than five years at its main theatre. Its alone film that celebrates Solo Golden Jubilees in Faislabad, Rawalpindi and Multan and solo silver jubilees in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha and Gujrat. When it was released after the ban was finished in its second run it celebrates many silver jubilees. Sher Khan (1981): This film completed continuously 172 weeks at Naghma Cinema and 35 weeks at Mehfil cinema Lahore and combined 444 weeks in its first run. This film celebrated Solo Golden Jubilee in Rawalpindi and Multan and solo silver jubilees in Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Faislabad. Only Munda bigra jaye is the most popular Urdu film of Pakistan because this film celebrates solo silver jubilees in many cities of all four provinces. Aina continuously completed 47 weeks at its main theater Bambino then it was shifted at Scala Cinema and completed its 135 weeks at Scala cinema. This film combined completed more than 300 weeks but less than 350 weeks. This should be in mind that all cinemas are comprises of 800 to 1000 seats for viewers but Scala cinema has only 198 seats, its bad factor of Aina's record. Sultan Rahi is also the only film star in the world who appeared in 35 films in a year (1989) including 29 in title rolls. Please correct your record because this film continuously ran 56 weeks at Naghma Cinema Lahore and combined completed 290 weeks. If its distributor shows a little interest this film may cross 300 weeks. |
