Last film: Jamalo (Punjabi - 1962) Zarif was the first ever comedy actor who played title roles in films. Patay
Khan was a milestone in his film career, followed by Bodi Shah, Rani
Khan, Mahi
Munda, Choomantar and
Behroopia. But the role as "Vaid Jee" in Kartar
Singh was an unforgettable and unmatchable character in the history of
Pakistani films. His role as "Mama Jee" in Yakke
Wali was an another big and evergreen role.
Zarif, real name was Mohammad Siddiq, born in Gujranwala and four of his
other brothers followed him in the same field, they were Munawar
Zarif, Munir Zarif, Rasheed Zarif and Majeed Zarif. His son Pappu Zarif
and nephew Faisal Munawar Zarif also tried their luck as actors but were
not successful like him.
Zarif died in the very early age in October 1960.

Last film: Ghairat di mout (Punjabi - 1979) Asif Jah was third top comedian after Nazar and Zarif. He was director
of film Sheikh
Chilli in 1958 and played the title role in this film. He also played title
role in film Chodhary. He wrote few songs and Sun
mere Kukku, sun mere Pappu... was one of famous song (sung by Rangeela in
film Do Rangeelay, 1972).

Goonga, Nadira, Zarqa, Dillan de soudey, Sajjan pyara, Jind Jan, Sheran di jori,
Genterman and many more. He died under production of producer Habib's film Perdes
at London on September 11, 1969.

in Pakistani films. He was first ever comedian hero, he was a singer, he was
a successful film director, writer, producer and distributor. He also composed
music in a film.
Rangeela (Mohammad Saeed) was a Pakhton origin Lahore based Painter and started
his film career from M.J.Rana's film Jatti (1958). He struggled many years and
in the mid 60s he got some significant roles in films as Choorian, Hath
Jori, Gehra Daagh, Bharia
Mela, Hatim Tai etc.. His first title role was in film Lal Bujhakar (1968)
and as comedian he became famous in films like Jigri
Yaar, Yaaran naal baharan, Yaar maar, Pagri sanbhal Jatta, Jugg Beeti, Bau
jee, Sangdil, Chan
